Our aim for the next decade is to reach out to every person living with young onset dementia in the UK, and together ensure excellent support, information and opportunities to connect for all to adapt and live life.
So now we want to use the expertise and knowledge gained from the face to face support relationships we have in Oxfordshire to work collaboratively with others to improve services more widely through changes in policy and practice, through more regional, local and digital support.
By working closely with people with young onset dementia, their families and professionals, we are together determined to improve young onset dementia support. We are intent on encouraging a real sense of community amongst those affected to achieve a better quality of life for people with young onset dementia.
Leading the national Young Dementia Network, developing our digital offering, engaging in social media to raise the profile of young onset and seeking collaborations with others are all active ways for YoungDementia UK to make a significant impact.
Regional and local support
Understanding the difference direct support makes to the lives of people with young onset dementia and their families, we are exploring ways to build on our Oxfordshire experience, particularly in areas where support is sparse.
